Just came back to Doha after a three-week vacation in the Philippines. Although it’s mostly a working kind of vacay mode, I’m still glad that I had the chance to relax, reboot and see the world with fresh eyes. I should try to take more photos next time to share with you the nature’s beauty in the Philippines but all the travelling and local flights every other day had somehow worn me out and I eventually got sick – thankfully, I’m recovered now! Yay! I spent one night in Boracay, one night in Cebu, few days in Tagaytay before finally spending a few days in Manila. All the local travelling is a combination of business errands, family and friends’ time and a little bit of me time.
One of the loveliest things during my vacation aside from enjoying the sceneries and food, was being introduced by friends to new beauty and make up products from Korea which I was so excited to try. I noticed that Korean dramas are so popular in the Philippines these days to the point that people are so drawn to Korean culture – I remember eating at Korean restaurants a few times and hearing Korean music here and there. No doubt that even the Korean beauty products are filling in the shelves.
Curious as I may, I have tried and brought back to Doha some of the Korean beauty goodies I’ve recently discovered and I may say that I did not regret filling in my suitcase with these lovely products. Today, I used NLIGHTEN O2 Bubble Cleanser as facial wash, followed by NLIGHTEN Cloud Cream. I also really love the Etude House Any Cushion All Day Perfect Special Set as a make up base – it gives that flawless, bright and clear looking complexion. As finishing touches, I sprayed on some Etude House Moistfull Collagen Facial Mist to achieve a glowing and sparkly finish. Our friend who just came back from South Korea also brought us some Nature Republic facial masks, which I’m starting to love. It is by far one of my most favorite facial masks and the good thing is, it is not costly! You can buy 10 sheets of masks for only $9 from Amazon. They have 14 varieties of masks to choose from – Olive, Orange, Chamomile, Rose, Avocado, Shea Butter, Aloe Vera, Green Tea, Tomato, Acai Berry, Royal Jelly, Bamboo, Cucumber, Tea Tree. I tried Rose and Avocado and my face feels fresh, bright and moisturized after using them so I’m definitely getting more of these masks.
I’m so glad I never have to worry where to purchase my next set of these beauty goodies because these are all easily available from Amazon – I’m sure I will have to go buy very soon!
