Velvet Dress & Floral Accessories

If you are following me on Instagram, you would notice that I’ve shared a couple of posts about my new found items from Charles & Keith (some of their items are on sale and you can check it here) and today I would like to share how I styled and put together these matching items.

Before we delve into the outfit details, let me share briefly my last weekend agenda and how I found some of these new products. Last weekend, I went to IKEA to buy stuff for a Korean dinner night which I’m hosting this coming weekend for my late birthday celebration. It’s two weeks past my birthday but I’d rather celebrate it during the Eid holidays, to give myself enough time to prepare and gather all the supplies I need to make a successful Korean dinner.

While at IKEA, we had thought of passing by Doha Festival which is conveniently connected to each other. Without a doubt, almost all the retail shops are stocked with new items for the upcoming season. Sephora offers 50% off select items which are worth checking here. Although Chanel cosmetics are not on sale, my sister still insisted on buying these makeup products, which I ended up using while shooting my outfit below and I must say I couldn’t be happier.

Foundation: Chanel Perfection Lumiere Long Wear Flawless Fluid Makeup

Eyeshdaow: Chanel Les 4 Ombres Multi Effect Quadra Eyeshadow

Powder Blush: Chanel Joues Contraste Powder Blush

Lipstick: Chanel Rogue Allure Ink Matte Liquid Lip Colour

Mascara: Chanel Inimitable Intense Mascara

Eyeliner: Chanel Ecriture Automatic Liquid Eyeliner

We also stopped by Charles & Keith where I found this cute boxy handbag. I wasn’t planning to get the sandals but when I saw how cute they look together, in addition to the fact that I really don’t have any matching pieces, I thought it wouldn’t hurt to indulge a little. Slip on kitten heels are also a good addition to my wardrobe as I never had one, so they are perfect! Since my size is no longer available, I had to take a size bigger than usual but it’s not a problem because they are still comfortable to wear. The sales representative had mentioned that the item is moving fast so my impulse was validated that it’s a good purchase.

My blue velvet dress, which I designed and had made by a seamstress, is a good match for these new accessories.  Since I was little, I adore all the velvets for their elegant and grandeur feel. Velvet fabrics are more available now than ever, so I thought of creating various designs for my favorite fabric. I would be sharing another velvet dress with you soon.

For now, here’s how I styled this blue velvet dress with my Charles & Keith floral accessories.
